Jack Miles' Dobson Complaint on KMAS

Excerpt from:
Miles Files Harassment Complaint against Port Director
By Dedrick Allan

Port of Shelton Commissioner Jack Miles has filed a formal harassment complaint against Port of Shelton Executive Director John Dobson. The complaint was filed Tuesday during the Port Commission's first business meeting of 2011. According to Miles, the alleged harassment started weeks ago when Miles says Dobson told him to watch his back. Miles also says that he has had difficulty for some time getting information from the Director so he can make informed decisions on Port business.

Miles took what he is calling insubordination to the Commission in executive session last month. After that closed session, Miles made a motion to suspend Dobson for two weeks. The motion then died for lack of a second.

Tuesday, Miles submitted his complaint to the other Port Commissioners in writing saying he was tired of the threats against him, and he no longer feels safe. Miles requested immediate action to place Dobson on administrative leave...

In the meantime, Miles told 1030 KMAS News he will be filing a complaint with the Mason County Sheriff's Office and if need be, file a restraining order against Dobson. Dobson did not attend the Port Commission meeting and was not available for comment.
