Hearing on Solid Waste Plan Tuesday

The Mason County Commission is holding a public hearing Tuesday morning (5/3/11) on proposed amendments to the Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP). This plan identifies the programs and services available to residents and businesses in the County.
The current Plan was adopted in 2008 but due to the substantial changes in services available for recycling in both the City of Shelton and Mason County, this chapter has been amended. In addition, the Hazardous Waste Plan has been updated for inclusion to the Solid Waste Management Plan as a chapter instead of a standalone document as it has been in the past.
The hearing starts at 9:30 AM Tuesday.
