  1. Thank you Claude for all of the amazing cartoons you have been creating; it makes it easier to take these crazy times when we can laugh!

  2. I had such a wonderful hike yesterday. The only thing that marred my hike was the noise of airplanes. Airplanes should not be allowed to fly over Olympic National Park.

  3. Thank you Dj and Katherine. I humbly accept your plaudits regarding the cartoons. I am honored to contribute to the blog. My father used to say quoting someone, that “Many a truth is said in Jest.”
John and Christine deserve plaudits for creating the blog and posting the information that they have researched. They have raised the alarm and hopefully the citizens of the areas impacted will respond.

  4. Not to take the side of technology, but some folks can no longer hike, and some never could for reasons of health or physical challenges.

These people may only see the mountains in books, movies and on television, except and unless they are fortunate enough to be allowed to fly over them.

Try imagining that the occupants of the planes that disturb the deep peace of the mountains are not Jay Huff and his friends, but are good folk taking a disabled child or a frail adult to see the majesty that you are able to walk into because of your ability to hike.

  5. Claude,

John & I (& so many others) are SOoooo appreciative of your contributions to this blog. The cartoons add a LOT on so many different levels. We all thank you!

We also thank you for your appreciations of the blog, but you have given us more credit than deserved.

This blog may have been the first place you heard the alarm, but the VERY FIRST folks to alert the community were Theresa Jacobson (now running for PUD Commissioner, may she win for the sake of Mason County) and Duff Badgley, a life long environmental activist who tirelessly works throughout WA alerting people in all "endangered" areas.
