CITIZEN ACTION ALERT!
Submitted to Shelton Blog by John CoxToday's Shelton-Mason County Journal contains a 2nd Notice of Action (NOA) from Simpson (aka Solomon) for their proposed incinerator project.
A "NOA" is a method of fast-tracking a project when you want to limit the ability of a project's opponents to appeal the decision of the SEPA process (RCW 43.21C.080).
In this case Simpson (no surprise there) and apparently the City of Shelton want to limit the ability of air-breathers in this county to protect themselves.

It may just be that Simpson decided to Fast Tract their proposal after hearing activist testimony against the project at Monday's City Commissioner meeting. It occurs to me that a nationwide boycott of Simpson products may be an effective way to combat such a destructive proposal. I would add that, given the public is being used as chattel by the very officials who refuse to represent us, why do we continue funding them with our property taxes? If money is the only value these political crackpots respect, perhaps we should consider delaying payment for several months, and starve the beast that attacks us.
ReplyDeleteAnd we thought it was Simpson we needed to keep an eye on. It's the City of Shelton, my friends, who are working actively on behalf of Simpson/Solomon. How nice.
ReplyDeleteThe legal publication, or Notice of Action, was put in the paper by the City of Shelton. Come to the meeting in the Civic Center on Monday, April 4, at 6:00 p.m. and let the City of Shelton know how you feel about that.
