Have the Port's Conflicts of Interest Really Flown Away?

“It is official", John Dobson steps down as President of the Washington Pilots Association (WPA).

On February 26th., John Dobson, the high-flying President of the WPA, dropped off the organization’s radar, at least as flight commander.

Commander Dobson was last seen leading a squadron of locally based pilots on a political kamikaze mission when struck down by a common sense warhead.

In his final radio contact, WPA President Dobson indicated he was running low on fuel and experiencing “rough edges,” which is aviation speak for actions involving conflicts of interest.

Now that Pilot Dobson has dropped his payload, Port residents can look forward to a long campaign in which he will most certainly bring to his duties the full force of a gimbaled moral compass and a false horizon.

As a recently demoted member of the Washington Pilots Association, I want to be the first to recognize Mr. Dobson’s unwavering dedication to the WPA, even when such missions came at the expense of the public at large.

Please join me in wishing Mr. Dobson clear skies and a strong tailwind as he performs his first solo flight as Executive Director of the Port of Shelton.
