Here's what I don't understand: Why is the sign "Republicans against Adage" titled "Humor"? This issue transcends party lines and remarks like that can be divisive.
A common meaning of "divisive" is "creating dissension". This blog is not just about the anti-incinerator issue. So...we reserve the right to be divisive in the future.
It would be "Chutzpah" if he wasn't lying. We're on the same side in this battle but I find it offensive when you ridicule a particular party. Al Brotche has been a strong advocate for an advisory ballot, and isn't he a Republican against Adage? Do you really want to be divisive within the No Adage movement?
Ann, you are right as noted by Christine. EVERYONE has a good reason to be opposed to Adage regardless of how they might describe their political leanings. I'm learning that it may be a BIG mistake to accept the limited descriptions assigned by the two parties. As a Dem I'm insulted and repulsed that it is supposed Dems that brought us this nightmare. I'm insulted that they spend our taxes on infrastructure to support two giant wealthy corporations while they cut vital services to the taxpayers who pay them. Party has little to do with right and wrong in this case. It's all wrong. I don't get too thin skinned about labels anymore, they seem to mean less and less these days. You and I aren't "party's", we are PEOPLE and we all deserve better. Remember, the powerful will use anything to divide the people, including false divisions THEY get to define on THEIR media, like party. Don't take the bait.
Not exactly. They claim to be capitalists, but capitalists actually HAVE capital. There hasn't been real capitalism in the United States for decades. When was the last time you heard talk of saving and compound interest? You know why? Because there is NO compound interest when the Fed STEALS your money or prints it by the truckload (thereby devaluing it) and lends to to bankster crooks at ZERO percent, thereby preventing YOU, the OWNER from seeking and getting a fair return on YOUR money. So lacking a fair return, what do people do? They spend it on overpriced goods, like inflated homes. Sheer genius!
They are actually the bankster politico fraudster party. The same one we had in the early part of the 20th century, only then they were called robber barons. We need to bring that back (the title not the era or people).
Their slogan? "Debt to the children of our slaves!"

ReplyDeleteDems and repubs are two branches of the same party. The monopoly capitalism party.
