WE DO NOT NEED RECYCLED OLD IDEAS

Dick Taylor, one of the leaders of "Citizens for a Prosperous Mason County", is all in favor of burning up Mason County, and the whole Evergreen State, to enrich his corporate friends. Dick Taylor wants to be one of our three Port of Shelton Commissioners and he is already acting just like Jay Hupp -- by ignoring citizen concerns.
I sent Dick Taylor copies of the physician letters months ago, because I once had some respect for him. I asked Dick to read the physician letters because I thought he must not be entirely aware of what he was supporting.
I never got a call back from Dick to discuss the letters, so I am assuming that the EXPERT opinion of the medical community fell on deaf ears. It is amazing how many people who never went to medical school know more than our local physicians. In fact, it is amazing the number of people who never went to medical school who feel quite comfortable ignoring the concerns of the local medical community.
Dick is just one in a long line of political and corporate creatures to ignore our physicians. He's in good company; our physicians have been ignored by the Governor of the State of Washington, our United States Senators, ORCAA, and all of our state and local officials. ALL OF THEM EXCEPT FOR JACK MILES.
Jack Miles understands that the members of the local medical community have significant credentials when it comes to talking about citizen health.
Our community needs new ideas in order to survive. We do not need the recycled old ideas Dick Taylor can bring to the Port.
The Port needs youth, imagination and creativity. What the Port does not need is another over seventy biomass proponent who is going to agree with everything Jay Hupp wants to do.
Jack Miles has been all about the citizens since April 2010 and he deserves the strong support of the air-breathing community in Mason County.
Jack has been ostracized for his belief that the citizens deserve some respect from the commissioners of their public utility. Jack has shown respect for the citizens; he has partnered with them and asked for their ideas and their input in connection with the Port; and Jack is still in there fighting for our right to breathe air that has not been fouled by the likes of an ADAGE facility.
Let's back Jack like we have never done before, and let's send a message to Dick Taylor that we have to move forward; that "caveman technology" is not the solution, or even a solution, to the needs of our Port, our City, our County or our State!
DICK TAYLOR: WRONG FOR OUR PORT; WRONG FOR MASON COUNTY!
Keep it light.
